Presentations and Workshop:
2024:
Cardon ZG, invited senior mentor for one week of Joan Roughgarden's and Lisa McManus' Workshop on the Theory of Microbial Symbiosis, Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, March 2024. Workshop participants modeled core interactions among Sporobolus alterniflorus, sulfate reducers, and sulfur oxidizers, establishing a mathematical framework for exploring conditions under which a stable sym-biosis could be expected to form.
